Deal & pipeline management

Renewals, upsells and new deals — on the account they belong to.

A deal pipeline with line items, products, contract files and approvals, where booked deals update the account’s revenue — and targets, leaderboards and incentive payouts are calculated live, without a spreadsheet.

In plain words

What is deal management?

A deal is a sale in progress — a new customer, a renewal, an upgrade. Deal management software tracks each one through stages (qualified, proposal, negotiation, won or lost), with its value, products, owner and paperwork, so the team can forecast and nothing stalls unnoticed.

In Custally, deals live on the customer account. When the account manager prepares a renewal, they see the customer’s open tickets, project status and health on the same screen. When a deal is booked, the account’s billing amount and revenue update automatically — and the sales leaderboard and incentives recalculate on their own.

What it replaces

  • A separate sales CRM
  • Discount approvals over email
  • Target and incentive spreadsheets
  • Re-keying booked deals into billing

What you get instead

  • Deal board — Drag deals across your own stages, grouped as Open, Won and Lost.
  • Deal approvals — Approval tasks created by automations (e.g. discount over 20% → sales manager), with due dates, reminders and follow-up actions.
  • Targets — On any metric, hourly to yearly or one-time, for users, accounts and products.
  • Sales pipeline dashboard — Pipeline by stage, owner and period.

Use cases

The problems it solves, the way it solves them.

Renewals that see the risk

1

For Account managers

The situation: Sales walks into a renewal call not knowing the customer has three P1 tickets open.

With Custally

  • Renewal deals sit on the account next to tickets, projects and health
  • Renewal Predictor and RAG status on the same page
  • CSM and sales share one timeline

Approve discounts properly

2

For Sales leaders & finance

The situation: Big discounts get approved on WhatsApp and nobody can find the record.

With Custally

  • Automations create approval tasks — sales manager, then finance
  • Conditions like amount or discount decide who approves
  • Every decision recorded on the deal

Run targets and incentives without Excel

3

For Sales ops & RevOps

The situation: Every month-end someone spends two days calculating incentives.

With Custally

  • Targets on any metric — deals won, revenue, calls logged — for people, teams, accounts or products
  • Live leaderboards with points and badges
  • Incentive slabs or rules calculate payouts

Find expansion in your base

4

For Customer success & sales

The situation: Healthy, growing customers never get an upsell conversation.

With Custally

  • Customer Insights spots expansion news (new stores, funding, hiring)
  • Next Best Action suggests the add-on with the reason
  • Create the upsell deal from the account

FAQ

Deal Management: common questions.

Can we use our own deal stages?

Yes. Set up your own stages in Settings and group each as Open, Won or Lost; the board, reports and leaderboards follow them.

What happens when a deal is won?

The booked amount updates the account’s billing amount and revenue collected, the leaderboard and incentives recalculate, and any automation you’ve set up runs — for example creating the onboarding project task.

Can large deals require approval?

Yes. An automation creates an approval task when a deal needs one (a big discount, a large amount) and assigns it to the approver; reminders, escalation when it is overdue and what happens after Approve or Reject are automations too.
